5 reasons to book an engagement shoot

Are you newly engaged? Here are our top 5 reasons why having an engagement shoot is a crucial part of the wedding planning process:

1. Show off your bling! It’s a great opportunity to share this stunning piece of jewellery (and the story behind the proposal)

2. Show off your partner (maybe this should be number 1!) it’s a fab opportunity for some gorgeous pics of the two of you as you start the next chapter in your journey.

3. Test out your suppliers. This is up there with menu testing and cake samples (we are always available for cake tasting btw!) this is your opportunity to get some ideas of how you’ll look on the big day. A lot of couples also combine their engagement shoot with hair and makeup trials, some even have their pictures at their wedding venue.

4. Calm those pre-wedding butterflies! Having an engagement shoot really helps prepare you for the big day and helps you focus on enjoying your wedding! You’ll have a much better idea of what to expect and you can stop worrying about how your pictures will turn out.

5. Save time. We typically find that couples who have an engagement shoot before the big day spend less time having their couple shoot on the day than couples who choose not to have one. Knowing what angles work best for you and feeling comfortable in front of the camera make a big difference on the day.
